Ingredients:

¾ cup Toor dal

Tamarind pulp (1 tbsp soaked in warm water)

1 tbsp Sambar powder

Mixed vegetables (drumstick, carrot, pumpkin)

1 tsp mustard seeds

Pinch of hing

A few curry leaves

1 dry red chilli

1 tbsp oil

Salt to taste
Instructions:

Pressure cook dal and vegetables separately.

Mix dal with vegetables, add tamarind pulp, sambar powder, and salt. Simmer.

Prepare tempering with mustard, hing, curry leaves, and red chilli.

Add to the dal. Simmer for 5 more minutes.

Serve with rice or idlis.
