Ingredients:

1 cup Toor dal (or mix Toor + Moong)

2 tbsp ghee or oil

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 onion (finely chopped)

1 tomato (chopped)

1 green chili (slit)

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
-
½ tsp turmeric
-
1 tsp red chili powder
-
1 tsp garam masala
-
Salt to taste

Chopped coriander for garnish
Instructions:

Pressure cook dal until soft. Mash well.

Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin, onions, green chili, and ginger-garlic paste.

Add tomatoes and spices. Cook until oil separates.

Add dal and 1 cup water. Simmer for 7–10 minutes.

Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
